Mother's Helpers
The job description and the responsibilities outlined below are general guidelines only. As each Family’s needs and requirements are unique and different, the specific expectations and job responsibilities should be initially discussed during the interview and later included in the Family/Employee Agreement.
MOTHER’S HELPERS - They are often refered to as Mother’s “right hand”.
Mother’s Helpers have have similar responsibilities to a Nanny. Primarily they help the stay -at- home parent with any aspects of childcare in addition to child related tasks. The difference is they are not solely and constantly responsible for the children, as a parent is present and at home during their working hours. The daily responsibilities may very from day to day depending on the family’s needs.
Mother’s Helpers usually have babysitting experience, however no special qualifications are required to perform the job and the experience required for this position is also less extensive then a nanny’s since they typically work under a parent’s supervision.
Brief description of what Mother’s Helpers do:
- Primarily assist parent with care for children
- Light housekeeping
- Easy meal preparations
- Children’s laundry
- Family’s errands
- Any additional duties as per the family’s needs
